Pengaruh Efikasi Diri dan Kesejahteraan Psikologis terhadap Stres Akademik Mahasiswa Fakultas Farmasi

Academic stress is a form of psychological pressure experienced by students as a result of academic demands that exceed their individual adaptive capacity. Students in health-related faculties, including Pharmacy, often face a high academic workload that may potentially lead to academic stress. Several studies have shown that psychological factors presumed to play a role in this condition include self-efficacy and psychological well-being. This study aimed to determine the influence of self-efficacy and psychological well-being on academic stress among students of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto. This study employed a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 107 students from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto who were selected using a simple random sampling technique. The data collection methods used in this study were the Bandura Self-Efficacy Scale, Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scale, and the Academic Stress Inventory. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis, Pearson correlation test, and multiple linear regression with a significance level of p < 0.05. The results showed that most respondents were in the moderate category for the variables of self-efficacy, psychological well-being, and academic stress. Bivariate analysis showed a significant negative relationship between self-efficacy and academic stress (p = 0.029), as well as between psychological well-being and academic stress (p = 0.030). Self-efficacy and psychological well-being, both individually and simultaneously, had an influence on academic stress. Self-efficacy and psychological well-being simultaneously contributed 9.7% to academic stress among Pharmacy students.
