In Readiness for parenthood is a crucial factor that every pregnant woman must possess to ensure the success of child-rearing and optimal child development. One of the factors influencing this readiness is the maternal age. Being too young or too old can affect a mother's mental, emotional, and cognitive preparedness to take on the role of a parent. Therefore, it is important to examine the extent to which maternal age is associated with readiness to become a parent.. This study aimed to examine the relationship between pregnant women and parental readiness at the Ajung Community Health Center. The research used an observational analytic descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of 102 respondents, while the sample included 88 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data processing was conducted using SPSS, and data analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test. The study showed that the majority of respondents were in the 20-35 age group (84.1%, n=74), and most fell into the "ready" category for parenthood (87.5%, n=77). Statistical analysis obtained a Fisher's Exact Test value of 0.000 (p-value < 0.05). Individuals in early to middle adulthood are generally at a more stable stage of psychological development, possessing better emotional capacity, knowledge, and a greater sense of responsibility in fulfilling the role of a parent. This age range also aligns with the ideal reproductive age, where the risk of pregnancy complications is relatively low and mental readiness tends to be more optimal.
