Hubungan Kadar Hemoglobin dengan Ketuban Pecah Dini pada Ibu Bersalin di RSUD RA Kartini Jepara

Background: The surge in Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Central Java has occurred since 2020 at the same time as the COVID-19 pandemic, increasing from 76.93 in 2019 to 98.6. One of the causes of AKI is infection due to premature rupture of the membranes (KPD). KPD is thought to be related to anemia in pregnant women characterized by low hemoglobin (Hb) levels. Objective: To determine the relationship between hemoglobin levels and the incidence of premature rupture of amniotic membranes in maternity at RA Kartini Jepara Hospital in 2024. Methods: Analytical descriptive research with a cross-sectional approach. The study population was 108 maternity mothers who experienced KPD for the period January 2023–January 2024. The sampling technique uses total sampling. Secondary data were obtained from medical records and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. Results: The majority of respondents experienced low Hb levels in the mild category as many as 74 people (68.5%), medium category 23 people (21.3%), normal 6 people (5.6%), and heavy 5 people (4.6%). The incidence of preterm and aterm KPD was 54 respondents (50.0%) respectively. The results of the statistical test showed a value of p = 0.090 (p>0.05), so there was no significant relationship between hemoglobin levels and the incidence of KPD. Conclusions and Suggestions: There was no association between haemoglobin levels and the incidence of KPD in maternal mothers. Hospitals are expected to increase routine Hb check-ups as an effort to prevent maternal and neonatal risks.
